“Morning Tea”

by Deborah Gregg
Ah, morning tea. In a shady nook of the garden, where the cool of the night lingers long into the morning hours, the busy garden fairies take their morning tea break. The gentle mushrooms, lending their tops for a resting place for the tiny, winged creatures, join them in a cup….or two. A needed pick me up for all.. Ice tea and mulberry cakes have replaced high tea in the hot afternoons now, at least until the weather turns cool again.God Bless Gardens.(even when they are hot and so humid!) :) A tiny, primitive style folk art painting, done with acrylics on acid free,140 lb. watercolor paper. Has a protective finish, signed on front and back.An ACEO ( Art Cards, Editions and Originals ) This piece measures a tiny, 2.5″ tall and 3.5″ wide (image shown is larger than the actual painting). Its a thrill to read about Spooks out in the dark. And lighting is not a problem. Friends gather to help as long as you read out loud so everyone can enjoy it. Well maybe the dogs, bravely sticking it out, would enjoy it more inside! :) A tiny, primitive style folk art painting, done with acrylics on acid free,140 lb. watercolor paper. A summer day! The windows of the barn are flung wide open to catch those precious summer breezes as the flock works on their patriotic contribution to the nearby towns’ July Fourth celebrations. A new flag! Of course a beer or two helps keep them all cool…root beer that is! :) Hope everyone’s summer is great so far! Having a bit too much rain here but otherwise alls well! :) A tiny, primitive style folk art painting, done with acrylics on acid free,140 lb. watercolor paper. The rains have been generous this year on the Prairie. The summer wildflowers on the hill are at their best. Its hard to come in from this all this…..the scent…the soft breeze….just one more bouquet for the house…..(The dog , sheep, and cat, feel the same ).And everyone will have a flower for their hair………we’ll just say the moon is wearing hers on her upper right quadrant?? :) God Bless Wildflowers! :)

“Found A Peanut!”

by Deborah Gregg
The peanut, firmly clasped in her golden beak, she runs for it…the others give chase….hoping she drops it in all the frenzy.. She does get to enjoy her prize…after quite a workout! Always make sure there’s a peanut for everyone!

The sparks were already flying in the pea pod this spring…but with the warm weather and sharing an amazing glass of lemonade with silly straws (peas must stay hydrated or they become quite pruny looking) a true summer romance has blossomed! Happy summer everyone! :)

A hot summer day will find the flock down at the swimming hole, cooling off. One inner tube is a must! Two is suggested…three is just silly. Happy summer everyone! :)

The rain finally fell…a soaking, life giving rain. In honor of this the Spring Peas sang and danced for joy (I did too, of course no one wants to see that! Ha!…).

Summer fun is just ahead as the lambs are loaded into the wheelbarrow and head down the road, pushed along by one of the Dads of the flock. The sheep will miss them…. till supper time…its a summer day camp! Every night the stories of all the fun they are having will delight them all.
