“The Red Wagon Express”

by Deborah Gregg
“Great Grandma and her best friend, Cora Crow, always come for the holidays. Still living well on her own in a small cabin in the woods, but for a few years now, walking when its cold has been a challenge. So the trusty red wagon has a new function. Transportation from her house to ours! With Thor, our black Lab in charge of security, Claire tucked in the back, Great Grandma in charge of the lantern, David pushing ( also acting as a break) and Cora jabbering away ( she’s a bit excited, pumpkin pie is her favorite and she knows one is always baked just for her!) on her head, we make our way along the dirt path. The wind is still as a soft snow begins to fall. And our world is transformed into a Christmas card. Peace On Earth and Happy Holidays!! :)     This is a tiny aceo, art card. Measuring 2 1/2″  by 3 1/2″. Painted with acrylics on 140 lb  acid free watercolor paper. If you would like one just like it, I can paint you one for $42.00  Have an amazing day!  :)  :)

The Crows nest sits high in a tree looking out over the peaceful countryside.Every year the crows decorate their home sweet home for the different seasons. Jack be Little ( these tiny pumpkins are just the right size for the crows) Jack O’ lanterns and golden star garland is just the thing to ward off those chilly Autumn nights! Looks Good Guys! :) (~~)

Both very rotund this year, Santa and his snow friend share some wonderful hot cider (with a bit of a bite to it) and a moment. “We raise our mugs high and toast to the Christmas Spirit!” And we also are wondering why these crows are on our heads and what are they up to? Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!!!

The full moon sits on the hill for a brief moment, contemplating the windy Autumn night. And riding by on a gust of wind, a black witches hat, hotly pursued by a crow and the owner of the mischievous hat. The enchanted tree is rooting for the hat!

“If you can carry it home, it’s yours.” So you pick the biggest one you can possibly carry and all of us in our bright yellow rain coats march down the sidewalk towards home, on a misty October day. (The crow, an unusual and intelligent creature, carries her little pumpkin on her head!).
