“Morning Tea”

by Deborah Gregg
Ah, morning tea. In a shady nook of the garden, where the cool of the night lingers long into the morning hours, the busy garden fairies take their morning tea break. The gentle mushrooms, lending their tops for a resting place for the tiny, winged creatures, join them in a cup….or two. A needed pick me up for all.. Ice tea and mulberry cakes have replaced high tea in the hot afternoons now, at least until the weather turns cool again.God Bless Gardens.(even when they are hot and so humid!) :) A tiny, primitive style folk art painting, done with acrylics on acid free,140 lb. watercolor paper. Has a protective finish, signed on front and back.An ACEO ( Art Cards, Editions and Originals ) This piece measures a tiny, 2.5″ tall and 3.5″ wide (image shown is larger than the actual painting). Copyright notice on piece is on digital image only, not on actual painting. I would be happy to paint one just like this one for you for 52.00. This includes shipping. :) Have a nice day!! :)

Dressed in her warmest coat, made of the soft down from a milkweed seed pod, she rescues a sad little cat lost in a chilly fall storm. She will see it home. Her heart is as good and pure as any angels. :)

Their shepherdess is taking care of family matters and so White Star Fairy is the flock’s guardian for a night. A special treat is to stay up late to welcome the beautiful dusky Pumpkin Moon as she clears the horizon and have a nice little chat, maybe hear her prediction for the first frost before she must rise and follow her path across the night sky.

Morning has come and a soft summer rain falls on the garden. A giant toadstool has sprung up overnight and provides a perfect place to stay dry while filling the Tea and Coffee pots with water. The Garden Fairies are family but one drinks a lot of coffee, thick with cream and sugar, and the other just a spot of spicy tea. God Bless all gardens! :)

The time will come soon enough when they will fly on their own. Eager to try out his tiny wings he buzzes around like a little bee, but not quite ready for a solo fight just yet so Mom hangs on for a bit longer…. :)

She can only go so high with her delicate wings, and she needs a new star for the tip of her wand. The Moon is happy to help….he just wishes the tip of his nose could be left out of the operation! :) Waiting for the Spring peas to sprout here!!!

The Lily Of The Valley is blooming and the flowers are wonderful this year. And that means it’s time to try on (never pinching them off the stalk unless its a perfect fit) new hats! :) Happy Spring Gardening! :)

Oh the winds of March! A few little brainless sorts thought it might be fun to fly along the garden path on the tip of lucky four leaf clovers… not really all that lucky… going a bit too fast and no they will not think to just let go… :) Happy Spring Gardening! :)

One of the earliest blooming Spring bulbs are the hardy Snowdrops. Blooming and beautiful even in a Spring snow shower. And the snow cannot stop the joyful fun of a little garden fairy as she hops from nodding stem to stem (don’t worry she is quite toasty, she’s wearing her red long johns under her dress!).

Forget Me Knots, Wild Violets and some mushrooms are blooming in the garden. But that’s not the only thing in bloom this Spring. Two garden Fairies have found each other and true love.
