The wonderful Earthy autumn months are just as good a time for love to bloom as the Spring. Everyone feels good with the cupboards full, looking to get cozy….all creatures come together then looking for safe shelter, storing up food, working with each other to make it through another winter. And the Wizard has fallen for the Witch. Love blossomed in the light of the full Harvest Moon. And a side note: love has also happened to a pair of round little pumpkins. I know…you wouldn’t think…and two black cats. Love is everywhere! A tiny, primitive style folk art painting, done with acrylics on acid free,140 lb. watercolor paper. “Firefly Dance”

On a warm summer night a group of friends from the pasture gather to watch the firefly dance. The rabbits, cats, sheep and a mouse ( he’s a bit large for a mouse but he insists that he indeed is a mouse, stating…..”I had a good upbringing…lots of quality nutrition”) sit spellbound by the beautiful show going on all around them. Watch for the fireflies ( lightning bugs is what we called them) this year and just watch, let them do their thing (looking for love) and be amazed!!!

The sparks were already flying in the pea pod this spring…but with the warm weather and sharing an amazing glass of lemonade with silly straws (peas must stay hydrated or they become quite pruny looking) a true summer romance has blossomed! Happy summer everyone!
