“Mad as a March Hare” is more than just a saying. It does happen. When the golden crescent moon hung so low one night two rabbits (stricken with spring fever) just had to climb up and do a little moon dance. And the sheep felt quite entertained! :) Happy Spring!!! :)

Piper, a rather small Maltese, is a little toughie but a patrolling group of robins stops her on the path, demanding some respect! Wait for some pruning on crab apples, etc. Take a few branches when they are about to bloom for the house. You wouldn’t think its spring out there today, its snow covered and still a few flakes in the air.

Another wonderful Photo by JD Todd, quote added by Rigel Celeste. It’s a wonderful spring day here in Nebraska. Windy, yes, but that’s the prairie. A few tips of tulips are showing here and there, too soon for that! Will cover them to hold them back a bit… Love this time of year. Finally will plant some tomato and pepper seeds today and set them all along the windowsills, and maybe prune a little. May everyone have a wonderful Spring day!! :)

Mad as A March Hare

They are not really “mad” although this particular group looks it, they’re just so happy Spring is finally on its way! ( all those fresh greens you know) :) This painting is done with acrylics on old barn wood. It measures about 5 1/4″ tall ( not including the height of the wire hanger) and 8″ long. I can paint one just about like this one one for you for $65.00. This includes insurance and shipping. It also can be done on a tiny aceo art card size (on 140 lb. watercolor paper, 2 1/2″ X 3 1/2″ ) for $42.00. postage included.

The March winds can be challenging. Going out to the fresh green fields is one thing, getting back to the barn is quite another. The woolly wonders really catch the wind and can become air born in seconds! Hang On! :)

Tulips! Strong, robust, bright, early, fragrant, spirit lifting, who can resist them. This rabbit surely can’t. So on with the rain coat and boots and out she goes to pick a bouquet in the spring rain. It’s early, early spring here in Nebraska, no signs of life yet, but can’t wait for the tulips to break ground!

I love Irish Blessings and this is one of my favorites.

For us here in Nebraska it will be “In like a lamb, out like a lion,” March winds and changing skies…welcome! It has been a colder, snowier, longer winter than usual here.
