“Roadside Sunflower Sale!”
by Deborah Gregg
Harold and Eleanor have this shift, the last one for the day. The Sun has set and a sliver of a crescent moon has risen. But they are determined to sell them all before heading in. Eleanor is in charge of the money (has her money bag strapped on) and dealing with the actual customers. Harold being Harold, he has been placed in charge of advertising and promotional tactics, which he is very good at. Sunflowers are a hot item this time of year so of course they did sell them all ! Tomorrow the flock will take shifts and sell again till they have enough for the annual Harvest Party, leaving plenty for the birds over winter. Really, God Bless them, they think of everything.
