Hello! I have been painting my whole life and have been painting full time for eight years now. Wish I had a bit more courage and I would have started sooner but was raising two beautiful girls on my own (now an “empty nester”). I am self taught for the most part (a couple of classes here and there years ago) and I love working for myself, I suggest it for everyone. I have a small herd of cats, a very old chicken, recently an elderly Papillion, “Daisy” has joined the family, some pond fish and a wild jungle-like garden full of life. Living in a small rural town in North Eastern Nebraska, I love my big old house but still dream of living on acres of land out west a bit more. Used to paint realistic landscapes but discovered folk art, primitivish (is that a word? Ha!) whimsical scenes that are so colorful and rich with a story to tell, and so much fun to paint! I really can “live” in these little scenes for a bit. I eat too much chocolate and drink too much tea but both are “good for you” things they say now….:) Well on that note, time to go make another cup of tea and maybe do a little winterizing!
