Hortense only wanted to make her party special, you know, really stand out. She had no idea that there are some things you just don't do. Borrowing the crescent moon, even for a short time, is one of those things. The stars came barreling after her, rescued the Moon (thank goodness, she was having quite the rough ride in that wheel barrel!) and roughed Hortense up, just a teensy bit, to make a point. Needless to say she won't be doing that again. And her party was a fine success, with your basic candles and lanterns for light. :0)
"When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, ‘tis near Halloween." ~Author Unknown
